Wyatt's Newborn Photo Shoot

When Wyatt was one week old, we decided to take the opportunity to capture some precious newborn photo's. He will never be this small ever again and we had to take the chance to make some irreplaceable memories.

and of course, the Mater Dei red and white!!
And some of the most adorable shots were with Aaron's fire gear..

The many faces of Wyatt Dean

We have tried to capture as many moments as possible, knowing that he is changing so quickly before our very eyes. This post is dedicated to some of the most precious photo's from Wyatt's first month of life!

First week at home...

While Aaron & I both hoped that everything about being a parent and taking care of a newborn would just come to us the second we got Wyatt home with us, this just was not the case! It took us a few (sleepless) days to learn the ways of our new boss. Wyatt made it clear that he was running the household, and that if baby wasn't happy, ain't nobody happy!
Our days were filled with a sleeping baby and our nights, well.. not so much sleep! Took a couple weeks for the little guy to figure out the difference between day and night routines.

Aaron & I were amazed by how we could function on such a little amount of sleep. We may have dark circles under our eyes on a regular basis, but we couldn't help but smile looking at our little angel.
Wyatt had a few more visitors in the initial days home from the hospital..
Firefighters seem like they're not 100% comfortable holding a newborn..

Our first trip out of the house was to Wyatt's doctor appointment a few days after coming home. He was so good that he got a lollipop on the way out of the office!
In between eating and sleeping cycles..
he sure did dirty ALOT of diapers!
and after being pee'd on several times, we finally got smarter than the squirter!
Bath times were some of the most precious moments!
and eventually, we learned the priceless rule: sleep when baby sleeps!!

Wyatt's Arrival & Hospital Stay

Welcome family and friends! We've created this blog to keep you updated on our new addition to our family. Many of you are out of state, or can not be in contact as often as we would all like, so this is for you!

Nov. 07. 2012
We were admitted to the hospital after my water broke.. This is before contractions got too painful of course. Got my epidural & was able to have a few visitors before the big arrival!
Then after a fairly short (and thankfully uneventful) labor, our little angel arrived.

Our first night in the hospital was a rough one, dont think that we slept more than 15 minutes combined! Every little sound that came from Wyatt's crib got our attention..
The next day brought more visitors..

After one more night in the hospital, we were finally able to take Wyatt home with us!!
The car ride home was one of the most exciting (and slowest) rides ever..
After almost 10 months of anticipation, we had our baby at home with us! Best feeling ever!
